Just northeast of Monument Valley is a 17 mile dirt road which winds through a series of impressive stone buttes.  There is a map with all of the names of the buttes on it, but I was unable to tell, in most cases, which was which.  Judging from my long search to identify this one, everyone else had the same problem.  Nonetheless, it is a beautiful area, and well worth the hour long side trip.  It has none of the tourist trade and commercialism you will find at nearby Monument Valley, just a guest house at the north end of the road.
