Relativism

Climate Change: Certain parts of the globe become less habitable, other parts become more habitable.  Certain species suffer or die out, others increase.  Nature remains balanced.  This can apply to any effect of human activity on Earth.  Once we acknowledge that our concern is self-centered and subjective, it becomes easier to make a case for changing our behavior.  We want to slow Climate Change, reduce pollution & stem population growth not because of some altruistic love for the biosphere as it currently exists, but because we want to live in a certain type of environment for our own comfort and pleasure.Image
