Valley Of The Gods

Just North and East of Monument Valley is the lesser-known treasure, Valley of the Gods.  I drove the 17 mile unpaved loop winding through majestic rock formations without seeing another soul.  A far cry from the heavily commercialized Monument Valley.

I Like It Here

In 1927 Blanche Russel was driving past Vermillion Cliffs when her car broke down and she had to camp for the night.  She liked it so much she bought some land and stayed, building a stone house in the shelter of a giant boulder.
